How does kratom work? So far, nobody is entirely sure. It is known that certain alkaloids in kratom leaf fit into specialized receptors in the human brain.
Some people smoke kratom, but that's not the best way to take it. Many use the so-called “toss 'n' wash” method which involves placing powdered kratom on the tongue and following it with a swish, swill, and swallow of water. The less powder in your mouth at once, the better. It's perfectly fine to divvy up your doses when taking kratom in this fashion.
Dump the contents of one or more kratom capsules into a pan of simmering water and allow to brew for half an hour before straining and sweetening. This is a somewhat bitter way to take kratom, but many people swear by tea as their preferred mode of consumption. If you make hot kratom tea in the morning, you may allow it to cool in the fridge during the day and enjoy a refreshing chilled tea after work.
If you can do simple math and swallow a lot of caps, kratom capsules may be right for you. The size 00 cap holds a mere 0.5 grams of powdered kratom. If you need to take, say, five grams of herb, that's a whole lot of caps to swallow. If you can do that, good for you. Otherwise, try one of the consumption methods outlined above. One great thing about kratom caps is how they allow you to divvy up your amount throughout the day. Convenient to carry, kratom capsules are easy to tuck into a purse or pocket, too.
Kratom for Beginners
If you are new to Kratom, start low and go slow. Begin with a small amount of around two to three grams and experiment until you discover works for you. Wait half an hour between taking to fully evaluate before taking any more.
